Abi Jones

Co- Founder and Studio Manager

Abi facilitates at the studio on Tuesdays. She works mainly with printmaking and graduated from an Inclusive Arts Practice Masters in 2014. She finds inspiration for her art in organic forms, 1960's posters and prints, and enjoys mark making and using bold lines and graphic shapes. She has worked in a number of public and voluntary sector settings since 2003, as well as having a BA (HONS) in Health and Social Care. Currently she is employed part-time as a Community Health Trainer for Brighton and Hove City Council.

Kit Man

Co-Founder and Studio Manager

Kit facilitates at the studio on Thursdays. He has worked professionally as an animator and illustrator and graduated from a BA (HONS) in Animation Production in 2009. His work focuses on the abstraction of identity and how this can be represented through stories and cartoons. . He has worked with vulnerable adults in a number of settings since 2011. Currently he is employed as a part-time Key Worker for learning disability charity, The Grace Eyre Foundation. He is currently studying Humanities and Social Sciences Degree at Free University Brighton and an

 

Michael Cullum

Studio Facilitator

Michael has been a volunteer at Artspace on Tuesdays since September 2015. His background and training includes fine art, art therapy and psychotherapy, and he has worked in NHS mental health services for a number of years. His own art practice often uses landscapes as a starting point for making images. He is interested in how artists at Artspace may find ways to develop their own art practice, and how this might lead to a greater sense of well-being.
