Recent Visit to the Pallant House Gallery in Chichester

In mid - January a large group of Artspace studio members and volunteers (Suzi, Sean, Emily, Jane, Michael, Nick and Ann) visited what is fast becoming out go-to Gallery for all things art and culture!

It was Nick's first visit and he likened the space to: "The Tardis". Seemingly much larger on the inside than outside.

Suzi felt that it was a nice day out: "Good for the soul, good chatting about art and other things and plenty of good humour."

Sean was particularly drawn to Anne Desmet's etchings. He found them inspiring.

He was blown away by the skills, technique and details in so many smaller works. He also appreciated the bigger spheres and hexagons. He loved the multimedia approach to larger works and the cutting up and rearranging of different linocut prints to form an image.

Emily was moved by Victor Willing's painting called "Self-Portrait at 70". She felt it was simply and sensitively rendered as well as loaded with vulnerable emotion.

As ever, a most interesting, inspiring and stimulating day out.
