Return to the Secret Garden

On a sunny morning in May, Artspace made a return to the Kemptown Secret Garden, to sketch and enjoy the surroundings.

One of Brighton’s best kept botanical secrets, the garden is home to an inspirational combination of carefully curated contemporary sculpture, and well-maintained colourful and diverse flora.

The event proved to be very restorative, enjoyable and beneficial, not only to our mental wellbeing, but also out development as artists. It enabled Artspace members to explore different media and approaches, allowing us to expand our creative endeavours. Mediums included charcoal, pastel, watercolour and colour pencils.

A huge thank you to Talia and Gray, for opening up for us, and for reintroducing us to this wonderful natural haven.

Members of the public can visit the Bristol Gardens (BN2 5JR) on weekends and Bank Holidays during the summer months, between 11 ‘til 5 pm. Please check the Secret Garden website: www.secretgardenkt.com ahead of visits to check if open, as occasionally the garden is booked for private functions.
